What to replace peanut butter with in a peanut butter oatmeal cookie?!

Question: What to replace peanut butter with in a peanut butter oatmeal cookie?
I love this cookie recipe, but I am nit fond of peanut butter much, I am afriad of taking it out of the recipe though because I don't know weather it will affect consistency. Other ingrefients include: shortening, whiete and brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, salt, baking soda, and oatmeal. Do you know weather it's okay to exclude the peanut butter? Or what to replace it with?

Ah, why don't you just make oatmeal cookies to begin with?

i really dont think it will affect anything but the crumbleness of the cookie just put half of the peaunut butter and replace it with flour and butter which is almost the same consistency............we would need to test this before i can guarantee it would work.

nutella
applesauce
mashed banana

Given those ingredients, I think the texture will be fine, peanut butter goes a long way, even if you put a little bit in there.
