Use two cans of great Italian tomatoes, preferably San Marzano.

Place content of the cans on a roasting pan and roast the tomatoes for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Make sure they don't burn, but you do want to roast and slightly caramelize as this brings out the great flavor.

While tomatoes are roasting, add ground beef to pan with olive oil. Saute at low heat and break up meat. Season with salt and pepper. Slightly brown and take off heat and drain.

Cut, dice or press about 8 cloves of garlic into a deep pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add tomatoes and saute until garlic is aromatic and slightly golden. Add spices of your choice....basil or oregano, salt and pepper.

Simmer for about 20 minutes. Add meat.

Boil a large pot of salted water and add your favorite pasta. Cook according to box directions.

When pasta is done, use a colander to strain off the water. Put pasta back into warm pot, add sauce, mix well.

Serve on a plate.....sprinkle parsley and freshly grated parmesan cheese.

1 1/2 lb. ground meat
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 pod garlic, chopped
3/4 tsp. chili powder
1 (14-16 oz.) bottle catsup
1 (#2) can tomatoes
1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms, sliced
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
Thin spaghetti, amount desired
Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Saute meat, onion, and pepper. Add other ingredients; bring to slow boil. Turn fire very low, cover skillet and simmer for 45 minutes. Boil spaghetti per package. Serve with hot garlic bread or rolls and a tossed salad.

Buy spaghetti, cooked meatballs, jar of Ragu sauce, garlic bread& Krafts parmesan cheese and voila! spaghetti dinner!!!
