how do you like you filet?!
Answers:
I prefer them medium rare, lightly salted.
Interesting question. In our house the tastes go from almost straight off the animal to slightly burnt.
Most use very little spices. Some do like real garlic - not powder - The pronunciation is another story.
In some areas it is customary to say F I L E, in other places - F I L ET... Who cares? As long as it is tasty.
ONLY salt and pepper. Nothing else or else you are covering up the flavor of the beef.
Cooked to rare, the more you cook this cut the dryer and tougher it gets.
Medium-rare, not bacon-wrapped, and only with a bare touch of salt while grilling, no salt after it's on my plate.
