Of course you can cook with wine, the alcohol cooks out so it's not like you get a buzz or drunk from eating food that has been cooked with wine. Unless you are drinking it as you cook. LOL
yes, most of the world, this is completely safe and legal
its actually a fallacy that all the alcohol cooks out of the food
anywhere from 85%-5% of the alcohol remains in the food, depending how long its cooked, and how
PLEASE, anyone else answering this, don't keep giving the statement the alcohol all cooks off, its untrue.

Actually there's a lot of residual alcohol left after cooking:

Alcohol in Cooking
Contrary to what most people believe, and that includes most professionals, when using beer, wine or other alcoholic beverages in recipes, a lot of alcohol is left after cooking.
Here are the facts from the Agricultural Research Service of the USDA (1989).
Alcohol remaining after preparation:
100% Immediate consumption
70% Overnight storage
85% Boiling liquid, remove from heat
75% flamed
Alcohol remaining: baked or simmered:
40% 15 min.
35% 30 min.
25% 1 hour
20% 1.5 hour
10% 2 hours
5% 2.5 hours
HOWEVER, I don't come across too many recipes that call for even a cup of wine. Most are 1/2 C or less.
I would certainly let a teen cook with wine or even bourbon, as long as it's under adult supervision. I made beef stew last night, perhaps 1/3 C red wine was added. No biggie, since it serves 8.
Its not bad as long as he/she is not drinking it! Most of the alcohol cooks out, not all, that's a myth. But either way its such a small amount it wont do anything. Its like putting vanilla in a cake. It has alcohol but you don't see people getting wasted from cake.
I think it is okay. You are correct that the alcohol burns off if you cook it, but be sure to ask for permission from your parents before you use their wine.
I think it'd be perfectly fine, especially if there was an adult around making sure the cook isn't getting sloshed on the remaining bottle of wine like the rest of us ;)
?Are you kidding ! Yes you should use wine almost all the alcohol goes away and it makes things taste much better and moist
If you know what you're doing, it's fine. And yes, the alcohol burns off.
yes when you cook any kind of alcohol it turns non alcoholic
