Question: Would a cinnamon chipotle rub be good on a ahi tuna steak?

im making them tonight and im not sure what other spices i can put on them and my boyfriend wants to know if this type of rub would be ok and if not what we should use. we are going to pan sear or grill them. id like an answer asap as i will be cooking very soon. thanks in advance.

Ahi tuna has a light flavour. I wouldn't suggest drowning the flavour with cinnamon chipotle (but if you love the flavour, then why not. I just suggest some salt and pepper and olive oil on it instead.. or even something with cilantro and lime.

Chipotle and cinnamon are rather strong for tuna.
Keep it light, a bit of salt and pepper. Lemon or lime. What else are you cooking? That will give a good indication where you want to go with seasoning. Use the cinnamon and chipotle in your side dish.
