how long do you cook a store bought pie crust before making a pie? (lemon meringue)?!

Question: How long do you cook a store bought pie crust before making a pie? (lemon meringue)?
i have looked at several recipes for lemon meringue pies that use store bought pie crusts. they all say to bake them until slightly brown before putting in the filling. but i dont want to forget and have it burn. so it would really help if you could tell me around how much time i should bake the crust before putting the filling in. that way i can set a timer and wont forget.

Sorry, Sugar Pie your not correct.....a few minutes 5-8 minutes at 350 should do it.....remember you will add filling and then bake again so you may want to cover the edges when pre-baking the crust or it will brown too much.

While looking for cookbooks online I found a book that has hundreds of recipes from a lot of the famous restaurants including Red Lobster, Applebee's, Olive Garden and The CheeseCake Factory just to name a few. It is loaded with great recipes that I love. Save Money - Just imagine the sheer amount of cash you will be able to save just by cooking these dishes yourself at home! 6-9 minutes on 350 degrees

Set a timer and you won't forget. 20-25 min ought to do it.
