Are all cupcake pans like this?!
Just wanted a cheap cupcake pan so I went to the Dollar General and bought myself one. After getting home I grab onto it by the bottom and I noticed that the individual cups spin. I said to myself thats what I get for buying cheap chinese crap.... after looking at it I saw it was actually made in the USA LOL. Anyways, I went back to Dollar General to return it because I thought it was a defect, and I noticed that ALL of the pans spun around like that. I returned it anyways.
Later in the day I went to walmart to buy a cheap cupcake pan and I noticed that in those pans the cups spun as well. So I guess my question is- do all cupcake pans do this? And what is the point of them spinning? what does that do?

All my cupcake pans are old and they don't spin. I've never seen these new ones. I suppose it may help when turning the cupcakes out if you don't use paper cup liners.
I've never had a cupcake pan that the cups spin in. Even Walmart has some crappy cheap brands. Either just buy a good one, or use a cheap one. I don't think it should really make much of a difference.
