Beef Tips over Rice
1 pkg of stew meat or more (depends on how many servings you want. 1 small pkg. makes about 3 servings)
Salt, pepper(just sprinkle it on lightly or to your taste)
Any other seasonings you want( I use seasoned meat tenderizer, onion powder, a dash of garlic,
& montreal steak seasoning.)
Water to just cover meat
Brown gravy mix (I use pioneer brand)
Rice (any kind you want, instant, boil in bag or regular. Just follow cooking instructions for rice)

Rinse off meat & place in crockpot, add seasonings, cover with water put lid on. Cook on low for about 8 hrs., or high for about 6 hrs.
When time is up add gravy mix with ? cup of water and stir into meat. add more water if gravy is too thick until it is the consistency you want.

Cook rice according to pkg. directions.
Have a side salad or any thing else you want to go with it.

You can also substitute the rice with mashed potatoes or noodles.

cooked for years! kids and hubby love it!

beef stew:
1lb stew beef
3 carrots peeled and chopped
3 potatoes
peas
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup or 1 packet of dry onion soup
1 can of red wine (the same can as the mushroom soup) or 1 can of beer
bay leaf
salt and pepper
water
beef or vegetable boullion cube

put the veggies on the bottom, then the meat, cover with the liquids and add seasoning. turn the crock pot on, cook til done. You can also sear the beef before tossing it in to give it extra flavor, but you don't have to.

I serve mine with biscuits

Ham and Scalloped Potatoes

1 pound cubed, cooked ham
8 to 10 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 onions, peeled and chopped
8 ounces processed cheese (Velveeta or similar), sliced
1 10 ounce can cream of mushroom soup

Put half of the ham, potatoes, an onions in the crock, place the cheese slices in, put the rest of the ham, potatoes and onions in. Spread soup over all. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours, high 4 hours.

15 bean soup with chorizo and cornbread (on the side of course :p)

you can buy a bag of dehydrated 15 bean mix super cheap, the instructions are on the bag.
I usually do one package of chorizo per two bags of beans.
simply slice the chorizo and add to the mix. If you are wanting something quicker you can also get the kind of beans in a jar that only require warming up and cook the chorizo in a frying pan.

I just posted this for someone else. This is a family favorite that I can ALWAYS fall back on. I put 6-8 pork chops into this ... but I have a very big crock pot. It's very forgiving so don't worry ...

Toss it all into crockpot before you leave for work...

2 lg cans of Cream of Mushroom soup...
Pork chops (with the fat trimmed off)
Mushrooms - one layer (fresh, canned or dehydrated)
garlic (fresh or powdered)
onion - (1 cu diced - or dehydrated to taste)
a dash or two of liquid smoke...(don't dump it in... just a couple drops)
Put the lid on and let it cook on low until you get back home. (low cook 8 hrs... high - 5 hrs)

This is deeeelish served over rice, pasta or mashed potatoes.

Get a polish kabalska sausage, cut into pieces. About 4 medium potatoes, cut in chuncks. Onion and green pepper. Put it all in crockpot, salt and pepper. Add one can of GOLDEN MUSHROOM soup. Be sure to blend the soup with the can of milk before pouring into the crockpot. Cover and start on high until it is cooking, lower to med or low and when done, enjoy. Really good, inexpensive, and feeds the gang. I like to par boil the sausage for about 10 minutes to get that fat broken down, a bit healthier. Beef kabalska is good too.

Mamaw's Pork Roast
Ingredients:
1 pork butt or shoulder roast, 3-5 lbs
1 can cream of chicken condensed soup
1 can's-worth sherry
1 can chicken broth

Add remaining ingredients, stir to combine, then cover and cook on low 9-10 hours or high 7-8 hours. Shred and serve. We like it reheated this way: place shredded meat on a cookie sheet, sprinkle with salt, then drizzle 1 tbsp oil over meat, stir and spread into an even layer. broil 4-6 minutes, or until crisp. mmmmmm
