How can I restore the texture of a thawed yogurt?!

Question: How can I restore the texture of a thawed yogurt?
Hi,
I had yogurt in a freezer (the normal plain yogurt from the store), a 500ml recipient, and I thawed it slowly in the refrigerator. And now the yogurt has lost its original texture, it seems the whey has separated from the fat.
The looks is a yellowish liquid with tiny white balls floating. And as far as I know that is the whey and the fat split up.

Is there any way to restore the texture??? I saw a couple of ideas, all included a blender or a wire whisk, but I'm afraid I might end up doing home made butter instead!!! Because by beating dairy is how you make butter....

What do you suggest??

Before you whip it I'd suggest placing the yogurt in a colander, covering it and letting gravity take care of the whey. I do this with regular un-frozen yogurt and get a thick sour cream type consistency from it. But I use a paper coffee filter and let it sit 24 hours. Some people call it yogurt cheese!

You can't make butter out of yogurt as the fat content is too low. Butter is made with whipping cream which has a fat content of 35% or more.

whip the yogurt to mix it together. I would use it for cooking purposes at this stage rather than a topping. Make pancakes, breads, or cakes or muffins that use buttermilk in them and substitute the yogurt instead. Or make a noodle kugel.
