Just bought a crock pot,how do I prepare for cooking(sanitize)?!

Question: Just bought a crock pot,how do I prepare for cooking(sanitize)?
Answers:

wash it like you would any other cooking utensil.
That ceramic insert is not conductive to bacteria since it is not porous.
A simple soap and water wash and rinse well will be just fine.
The most you are actually removing is dust and manufacturing debris and not so much bacteria.

You can wash up the removable crock like any other utensil, the rest just wipe over with a damp cloth (don't submerge in water or you may ruin the electrics and/or give yourself an electric shock!)

I just bought my crockpot last week and i love it!

Just wash the lid and the pot with hot soapy water. Does it have a removable crock? If it doesn't, just don't submerge it.

Take a clean moist wash rag that has a little dish-soap on it and wipe clean, then wipe with moist rag. Its ready.

Was the insert and lid in hot, soapy water or run them through your dishwasher.
