No, do not pre-cook

cut in equal sized pieces
Toss the vegetables with olive oil and salt and herbs (save adding the pepper to after cooking to avoid a bitter taste)
Roast at 375 for about 30-45 minutes and toss ever 10 minutes or so.

------EDIT----

LOL on the 3 different temperature settings each of us gave. The fact is, it does not matter that much. Many times i roast vegetables at whatever temperature I am cooking the main dish at. I just use 375f if that is all I have in the oven. 350 or 400 will both work too.

First, preheat your oven to 350.

Chop up all the veggies in cubes. Make sure they're all as close to the same size as possible, so they cook at the same time. Throw the cubes into a bowl large enough to accommodate the vegetables and mixing. Drizzle generously with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper & whatever other seasonings you'd like to use (maybe someone else can give you seasoning ideas. I've never had parsnips or swede, so I can't really help you there, although Parmesan cheese gives roasted vegetables a great nutty flavor.). Mix until everything is coated. Put onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake until golden brown and fork tender.

If you are roasting them you won't need to pre cook them. All you'll need to do is cut whichever veg you'll be using into bite-size pieces, toss in some olive oil, add some seasonings like dill, rosemary, or even some good ol' salt and pepper and put them in a 400 degree oven until they turn a golden brown. Depending on what you are roasting and how much I would say it could take anywhere from 20-40 minutes. Just make sure to move them around every so often to get even color and keep an eye on them. Hope this helps!
