How long do baked potatoes take to cook?!
I have 4 medium sized potatoes in the oven, how long will they take? Surely not 2 hours?
I should probably add that it is a fan oven set to 200°C.

I presume you mean a raw Russet potato
I bake them in a 425 degree Farenheit oven for close to an hour. I like the skin and the high heat results in a nice crispy skin and a soft fluffy interior.
2 hours, maybe ... but the oven temp would have to be more moderate.
My guess is to wrap them in aluminium foil at 350 for 25-35 minutes. Poke the potatoes with a fork so the water can vent out. Five minutes before time is up use a fork to see if they are soft; fork tender. Cut the potatoes open and put in a tab of butter, cheese, bacon bits, or whatever you like. Enjoy.

personally, i set my oven to about 350, and they are done in about an hour
