Is my seaweed still okay to eat?!

Question: Is my seaweed still okay to eat?
I bought some seaweed in a package about 5 months ago. After I had used what I needed, I just put the rest in a ziploc bag to store it in my pantry. I had forgotten all about it until the other day when I was cleaning out the pantry. So my question is, do you think it is still okay to use for cooking? I don't have the bag it came in so I can't look at the expire date, plus all of the words on the bag were in Japanese. So should I just throw it away or is it still good?
thanks
