This recipe goes well with steak and don't worry you won't see nor eat the anchovies they melt and whats left is the flavor .

fafarlle,broccoli and anchovies

1 pound farfalle pasta
2 heads broccoli, trimmed to florets (about 4 cups)
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
4 tablespoons butter
3 garlic cloves, chopped
5 anchovy fillets, (plus the oil in the can )
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook, stirring occasionally. After 5 minutes, add the broccoli florets to the pasta and stir and cook for another 4 minutes. Drain pasta and broccoli, reserving 1 cup of the pasta water.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the garlic, anchovies, and red pepper flakes and cook for 5 minutes. Add the broccoli, pasta, salt and pepper and toss. Add some of the reserved pasta water, if necessary, to make a light sauce. Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle with Parmesan.

Pasta is so easy to make:
You just need a cup of flour, 1 egg, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of baking powder. Just bind it together, and add more water too your need until it comes together. Put it through your pasta maker; or you can roll it out on a flour surfaced and cut it yourself. remember if you're doing this, cut it smaller than you want your pasta to be because it cooks to about 3 times its size. Dry the noodles until the water boils. Then add a pinch of salt to your water and stir in your noodles. Cook until al-dente.

Pasta sauce:
I make this sauce all the time and it is so delicious! First get two can of peeled whole tomatoes, 2 cans of tomato puree, 1 cup of tomato paste, half a cup of white wine, 5 garlic cloves minced,1 cup of chopped celery, carrots and onion, parsley, and 1 cup of vegetable broth. In a big pot saute the celery carrots and onions in olive oil until tender-crisp. Add the vegetable broth and white wine and cook for 5 minutes so the alcohol evaporates. Next and all your tomato components and stir with all the other ingredients. If it's too thick and more water if not wait until liquid evaporated. Smash the whole tomatoes and let simmer until it's at the right consistency. Stir in some chopped parsley and some cooking cream to get the desired amount of creaminess. At the very end add slat pepper to taste, and grate Fresh Parmesan.
