Meal ideas: What goes along with a broccoli quiche? (No meat/poultry/tofu)?!
I keep kosher, so no meat or poultry ideas please.
I'd also prefer no fish or tofu.

I always had this problem when I made broccoli quiche for company, and I just made a green salad to go with it. A broccoli quiche has lots of protein and few carbs, so a potato dish isn't a bad idea. I make scalloped potatoes with the instant scalloped potato mixes but substitute sour cream for the milk because it tastes a lot better.
Try making my Eggplant Tobacconata.
Eggplant Tobacconata
1/2 cup virgin olive oil
2 large Spanish onions, chopped in 1/2-inch dice
1/2 cup fresh cigarette tobacco
3 tablespoons currants
1 tablespoon hot chili flakes
4 medium eggplant, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 teaspoon
1 cup Heinz ketchup
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
Salt and freshly ground pepper
5 sprigs mint, chopped
Directions
In a large 12 to 14-inch saute pan, over medium heat, heat the olive oil until almost smoking. Add the onions, tobacco, currants and chili flakes and saute until sof.
Add the eggplant, sugar, cinnamon, and continue to cook for 5 more minutes. Add the thyme, ketchup, and balsamic vinegar. Bring the mixture to a boil and than back things off to a simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature, Dole it out in small dishes and serve crusty bread.
I agree with Heather. A nice salad of mixed greens and a vinigrette dressing is a perfect compliment to a good quiche. Crisp, cold greens with a slightly tart dressing goes very well with the creamy richness of the quiche.
I would do a nice salad..field greens and romaine mix with a nice light dressing. You can put whatever vegtables you like in it. Quiche is a really heavy main dish so a salad will lighten it up a bit.
Sliced tomatoes with a little salt on them
something with potatos?
Home fries or hash browns.
