you can make it 2 ways: with meat (ham or turkey) or without.

i like to put mayonnaise on each inside piece of bread, then i add american or cheddar cheese. if you wanna put meat in there put it on when you put on the cheese. i put them together and put butter on each outer side of the sandwich to keep it from burning. then put it on a skillet on the stove. put a lid over the top so that the cheese melts. check it every 10-15 seconds until the bottom is golden brown. flip and repeat on the other side :)

Bryan-Here's a few tips to help you achieve maximum Cheese satisfaction:

-Select thinly sliced bread like Wonder bread. Thick bread takes longer for the cheese to melt and in this sandwich, it's all about the cheese.

-Use thinly sliced cheese like Velveeta or American cheese. Thick cheese takes longer to melt and if it takes a long time then the bread tends to get burned in the process. Another great trick I learned is IF you are using a block of cheese, instead of cutting into slices, simply grate or shred the cheese with a cheese grater. Then, just sprinkle the cheese on the bread and grill as you normally would.

-Finally, take room temp butter and spread it on the outside of your sandwich all over both sides. When it hits the hot pan, the butter will be evenly distributed and toasted evenly throughout the cooking process.

Enjoy!!!

I'm a personal chef. One of the first things I ever learned to cook as a kid was a grilled cheese sandwich.

Velveeta cheese makes the BEST grilled cheese sandwich! Slice cheese and place between two slices of bread. Butter one side of the bread and place butter side down on a hot griddle/pan (about med to med/hi heat) , while that side is cooking, butter the top side of the bread, use a spatula to gently lift the corner of the sandwich til you see its nice and golden brown, then flip it over and brown the other side. Remove from heat and eat, velveeta makes it real goey and wonderful!

take two pieces of texas toast bread ( very thick sliced)
spread peanut butter on one of them and cream cheese on the other,
then place real cheddar slices in between them so you have a fat lovely sandwich.
HEat a frypan til it's medium hot.
Tae the sandwich and butter both sides of the outside of it, thickly with butter.
Put in the pan- it will sizzle, keep the heat medium.
Fry til one side gets hot and the cheese is melting,
then flip it over and fry the other side.

When both sides are brown and golden, eat it.

sandwich: whole wheat bread, american/ cheddar/ american cheese, whole wheat bread

saute pan: heat it up so its hot, add butter- let it melt,

place sandwich in pan-- when bread gets color on it- flip it and COVER with a pot lid so the cheese will melt-- when both sides have color remove from pan slice and enjoy!!!

Heat up a pan on the stove on about medium-low heat (about a 4 or 5) oil the pan with some butter cut a few slices of cheese or use all American cheese slices place in between your pieces of bread heat it up till golden brown on each side and cheese is melted takes a couple on minutes for each side.

Very easy. Take two pieces of bread, butter them (so the bread doesn't stick to the pan) and put some cheese in between the bread. Put the burner on a 6 (about) and just flip the sandwich when it starts to get golden brown!

open up pita bread...put cheese in it....close it...microwave about 1:30...and thats it
