Question: Lemon juice substitute for cheesecake?
im baking a strawberry cheesecake and i need lemon juice but i do not want to go out to the store when its -3 degrees outside soooo i was wondering what i could use instead & if its actually vital to the recipe

just leave it out.



Just take a try this: Lemons are more acidic or citrus, have less water and sugar. To substitute limes for lemons you need to use little vinegar to bring the lemony taste. Some people even use white wine and diluted vitamin C tablets as a substitute.

hey no you wont needed it but it makes it fresh

try to experiment with wat you got thats the best for example a little bit of orange juice and some cinnamon makes a nice winterie cake from it tell me wat you got at home and i try to help you

The lemon adds a bit of zing you need to keep it from being flat and too sweet. Do you have lemon extract? You could use that. Do you have dried lemon zest? You could use a bit of that. Worst case scenario, I'd use a tiny bit of white vinegar.



I use a similar recipe and just leave it out. It's not a crucial ingredient.
