Question about homemade chicken noodle soup?!

Question: Question about homemade chicken noodle soup?
The recipe I'm using calls for 4 cups of water and 4 cups of chicken broth.

Do I have to have both or can I do one or the other?

You either need a chicken to boil or you need Can chicken Broth or Chicken Bullion Cubes, which
are dissolved in hot water.you can not have Chicken Noodle soup without Chicken Broth.you may not
have to add water but that's depending on how many noodles you are cooking.if you are cooking
lots of noodles, then you have to have a lot of liquid.i would advise you to use more broth and less
water if you want good noodles.the noodles will probably be only as good as the broth.
Hope this helps.i dearly love Home made Chicken & Noodles.

You can do one or the other, however a chicken soup made without chicken broth might not qualify as chicken soup.

One of my favorite ways to make chicken soup is to start with a roasted chicken form a deli, and use the juice/broth from that, very flavorful!

Also the fresher the ingredients the better this is going to taste. Processed food has less flavor the more it is processed, also less nutrition. That also includes how the chicken (or cow or whatever) was raised. Organic and free range are the most nutritious most flavorful, and safest foods.
