Answers:

Rib eye steak dinner: What you need:
3/4 cup A.1. Steak Sauce
2boneless beef rib eye steaks (8 oz. each)
2 Tbsp. lime juice
1/3 cup butter, softened

MIX steak sauce, lime juice and butter really well. Remove 1/2 cup of the steak sauce mixture for brushing onto steaks as they cook. Pour remaining steak sauce mixture over steaks in large resealable plastic bag; seal bag. Turn bag over several times to evenly coat steaks. Refrigerate 30 min. to marinate.

Preheat pan to medium heat. Remove steaks from marinade; discard bag and marinade. Cook steaks for 10 to 15 min, turning occasionally and brushing with the reserved steak sauce mixture. Remove steaks from pan. Serve with your parents favorite veggies.

For a nice salad before the meal you should make a reg garden salad with thier fav dressing.

Good Luck and your parents will love you even more for doing this for them.

Isn't bread and butter a prison appetizer :)

Top the steak with shrimp scampi or a compound butter.

Butter recipe:
Mushrooms diced, portabella would be nice
Garlic
Shallots
Worcestershire sauce
hot sauce
parsley

Allow butter to get room temperature. Roast garlic whole by cutting the top off and sprinkling with oil.
If you do that you should also roast some shallots at the same time.
Or you can just saute them.
Saute the mushrooms in butter, add the shallot and garlic if not roasting.

Mix all ingredients with the softened butter. Roll in wax paper or cling film so it's about 2 inch diameter and put in fridge.
When steak is ready to serve slice butter about 1/2 inch and place a few on each steak.

My favourites to serve with steak are a red wine and mushroom sauce, oven chips or homemade potato wedges, and crushed peas.

To make the sauce, I use this recipe http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_an… but leave out the stock and add a splash of worcester sauce (or Marmite) instead. It's super-easy and really classy and delicious (and the recipe includes instructions for cooking your steak, too).

To make the wedges I use this recipe http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/potato… with or without the rosemary and garlic, or just use shop-bought ones.

To make the peas, I bring the peas to the boil in hot water, then drain them and sizzle them for one minute in a knob of butter and a big splash of lemon juice, adding lots of freshly goround black pepper. Then I take them off the heat and mash them - not smooth, just sort of semi-mashed.

marinate

Okay, your salad should be light and airy preparing them for a delicious main course.

To prepare the salad, divide the lettuce leaves evenly among 6 salad plates. Toss pear with 2 tablespoons orange juice. Divide pear and onion evenly among leaves. Top each serving with about 1 tablespoon cheese and 1 teaspoon walnuts. Drizzle each serving with about 2 1/2 tablespoons vinaigrette.
(or you can save time and money and buy store vinaigrette)

steak goes good with mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, or au gratin potatoes.
I like twice baked potatoes with steak
cook three big potatoes at 425 until tender to touch.
let them cook for 15 minutes- cut them in half and take a spoon, spooning out the inside of the potatoes- placing in a bowl.(saving the potato skins, which you will place on a baking pan)
cook a little bacon and crumble adding the potato mixture in the bowl. add some butter and half and half, pepper and a little salt. mashed well.
spoon mashed mixture into potato skins evenly. top with cheese and chopped green onions. Place in oven for at 350 for 15 minutes.
place and serve with steak and vegetables.

For steak:
marinade steak in fresh squeezed lemon juice, fresh chopped garlic, fresh ground pepper, and chopped onions. (do this for 2 hours) preheat broiler and broil until medium, medium well or well done. turning over once in the broiling process.

It may be rather cold outside, depending on your location, but I often like to have filet mignon, smoked on the grill with hickory chips. I will also take some portobello mushrooms, baste them with melted butter, and throw them onto the grill while I am at it. You could marinate the steaks in soy sauce and sprinkle them with black pepper for additional flavor.

Mashed potatoes goes great with steak. I mash the potatoes, then add real butter and, instead of milk, I use half and half instead. This makes the mashed potatoes richer and creamier.

Steamed asparagus tips, with real butter goes well with the above items, though buttered baby brocolli florets also works.

Hot dinner rolls or biscuits, and a nice garden salad is a nice addition to the meal.

I like to have cheesecake with cherry topping for desert. This goes well with coffee about 1/2 hour or so after the meal.

I love a baked potato with my steak. If you want to jazz it up a bit, make twice baked potatoes. You just cut the already baked potatoes in half and scoop out the potato. Put this into a bowl and add about a cup of sharp cheddar cheese per 4 potatoes. mix in some milk or half and half till you have a creamy consistency. Then spoon back into the potato shells, top with more cheese and bake until the cheese on top id hot and bubbly

Asparagus goes great with steak. You could also serve a topping with the steak, such as saute onions and mushrooms.

One thing to not forget when serving steak, before it comes to the table, top each piece of steak with a generous pat of butter. This is what the restaurants do to make the steak juicy and delish!
