Question: Cup cake mix instead of cake mix?

i got a cupcake mix for 12 and a 9 inch pan.. so can i use the cupcake mix instead of a normal cake mix? what would differ? how long am i supposed to keep it in the oven?

You need 6 cups of batter for a 9 inch pan...I would bake 35 minuets...or until a tooth pick comes out clean...

I make cupcakes out of cake mix..so I would think there isn't too much difference...

just follow the directions the same and put into the cupcakes only about half full on each cup and bake it for about the same time, when you cook, you always have to keep an eye on it, so do that....

Since the cupcake mix is for 12 cupcakes, it would be half a batter if cake. Keep it in the oven for about 15 - 17 minutes.
