Question: Does the broiler pan in the bottom of a gas stove help destribute heat through the oven?
Our broiler pan is kept in the bottom of the oven, but gets dirty when other things cook. Does it help distribute heat throughout the oven or is it okay to take it out and store it somewhere else?

I would say the pan changes the distribution of heat

when i cook the pan is removed and it is ok to do this
