Question: Do you have to butterfly lobster before you broil it?
Or do you just have to get it out side of the shell?

No and No.It will separate from the shell as it broils, from the heat.After it is cooked you can take a knife and run it along each side of the shell to remove any meat that remains attached to make it easier to eat when it is served.Keep the lobster in the shell when it is served, makes a nice presentation ( So no lobster take's flight.) ;)



Par-boil it and then cut the tail in half put it meat side up on a pan.



Don't butterfly or remove from shell.

Just cut the top of the shell.
