THANKYOU.
Answers:
shepherds pie. i also need to say unlike the other geniuses i am guessing you mentioned peanuts because most schools do not allow food with peanuts because of allergies and it had nothing to do with scottish recipes including peanuts. god how i wish people used common sense.
Lamb Stovies
4 oz cooked diced cooked lamb
1.5 lb sliced potatoes
1 large onion, peeled and sliced
1 tbs dripping
10 fl oz beef stock
salt and pepper to taste
Melt the dripping in a large pot.
Melt the onions gently until soft.
Add the lamb and season.
Add the sliced potatoes evenly layer on layer.
Cover with stock.
Bake in oven 375 degrees for around 45 - 50 minutes, until liquid is absorbed and potatoes are browning.
This could also be made with corned beef fresh or canned.
Recipesource.com has 61 Scottish recipes. I would stay away from the ones for Haggis though unless you happen to have a handy sheep's stomach to cook it in! :-)

Destiny, I appreciate the chuckle you gave me, even if it was unintentional...indeed, peanuts are not a Scotch food, and honestly, I have never seen the words "Scottish" and "spicy" used in the same sentence before!
Good luck with your potluck!
