What size cake tin should I use?!

Question: What size cake tin should I use?
I've bought "Betty Crocker Super Moist Devils Food Cake" mix which weighs 517g and I now need to buy a cake tin but am unsure of what size (in inches) I should buy and would appreciate any advice!
Thank you in advance.

A box cake mix can make approx. 4 -- 5 cups of cake batter, although it can vary by 1/2 cup or more depending on how big your eggs are, as well as how long you mix the batter and at what speed.

When I bake them, I make 3 boxes. Fill the pan 2/3 full. You'll have a little batter left over. I usually use this to bake a small (6 or 8 inch) cake or make cupcakes and freeze them...

A eight inch round cake pan holds about 4 cups...

Hope this helps...

It will also make two 8" layers, 3 6" layers, or a bundt pan. One standard cake mix makes about 6.5-7 cups of batter, so you can use that to figure out pan sizes.

The back of the box should give you a choice of pan sizes but generally a box of cake mix will make one 9x13x2" pan or two 9" round or square layers or 24 cupcakes.

well if you look at the back of the cake mix box then it will give you suggestions on the size pans u may want hope this helped:-D
