We are all different...that is the main reason...Everyone has different tastes...If you don't like meat that is cool...I happen to love a rare steak...has nothing to do with culture...I was the only one in my family that did...I love lamb...there again I was the only one...And the reason I like steak.... it tastes good to me...I don't like liver...I think it is nasty...

All it amounts to is what tastes good...

Hope this helps.........

Well the way it is cooked and lightly seasoned.
Spices and herbs
rare/ medium/ well done

I know what you mean. But it is a very western mindset so it's best not to question culture ^^.
It's kind of like asking why do Japanese like eating raw fish? aka Sushi
or why do we still eat chicken drumsticks and breast with bones? if we can just make tenders and strips?
I can eat a bowl of mashed potatoes no gravy no nuthin
I can eat a rice ball no seaweed no plum no nuthin
I can drink water no sugar no honey no nuthin

I think it's mainly culture to be honest

Its just about what you like. Maybe its the seasoning. If there is a certain spice that you really enjoy, you should try it on meat. Also people might have grown up eating it and just remember it as a childhood memory.

Its all in the taste buds obviously. You can't/don't understand unless you like that particular food. Even people who like the same food will say because of different reasons.

What kind of meat you like to eat? Everyone is different on there tastes. I might like steak and you might like chicken more that I do.
