Tell the difference between butternut squash and sweet potato?!

Question: Tell the difference between butternut squash and sweet potato?
I have a packet of ready prepared butternut squash and sweet potato. Some are more orange, and some are more pink, which is which?

Answers:

The more orangey/yellow one would be the butternut squash while the deep reddish orange one would be the sweet potato.

If they're already cooked, and by "sweet potato" they mean the lightest of the yam/sweet potato family, then generally the butternut squash would be a deeper orange (and richer, moister tasting) where the sweet potato would be more of a yellowish or light orange color and taste a bit drier (if it hadn't absorbed any added liquids from before).

Squash is a vegetable that grows above the ground.
Sweet potato is a tuber.
Orange - squash
Pink - sweet potato

the squash grows above ground and the potato below ground, the squash is more watery than the potato .
