You have been mislead. Think it through. How would letting the heat escape make it heat faster?
Someone has been lying to you silly head. Imagine 2 rooms being filled with feathers, which room do you think will fill up first if one has a closed door and one has an opened door? Now replace the feathers with heat, and you have an answer ;D
The oven will not heat up faster wiuth the door open because the heat is all being let out. When the door is closed it is trapped in there and will get warmer. I hope this answers your question.
The house heats up faster with the oven door open, but the oven will reach its temperature setting faster with the door closed.
