I buy frozen fruit and fresh bananas and frozen apple juice...I mix the fruit and banana with the juice in a blender...you can also add ice..I don't use milk or yogurt...but some do..

Here are some recipes that you might like...

Mango Mania – 1 mango (cut and pitted), 1/4 cup orange juice

Peach Medley – 1 peach (cut and pitted), 1 banana, 1/4 cup orange juice

Berry Surprise – 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1/4 cup raspberries, ? cup of milk

Strawberry Ice – 1 cup strawberries, 1 cup orange juice, I cup crushed ice

Honey melon – 1 cup chopped honey dew lemon pieces, 1/4 cup apple juice, tablespoon honey.

Banana Boost – 1 banana, 1/4 shredded wheat cereal (or other high fiber cereal), 1/4 cup milk.

Hope this helps......................

A frozen banana, frozen berries, and anything moist to mix with it like some fruit juice or soy milk or yogurt or a can of mandarin oranges. Even tofu makes a silky kind of smoothy that's surprisingly good. I freeze peeled bananas when they're starting to turn and then I have frozen bananas available when I need them.

any fruit you have on hand.. bananas, grapes, apples, oranges, strawberries.. any berry, peaches, mango, etc...
toss bits into the blender, add a cup of plain (or vanilla) yogurt.. I add a drop of vanilla, and a huge dollop of honey.. then blend... mmmmm!

helps also if you freeze some bits of fruit and use that.. makes it thicker...
