um....float

Put it up to a light, if the membrane is broken, it's bad.
Boiled eggs should spin.
If they don't there is a problem.
If an egg doesn't float on the top, that doesn't mean crap (from experience).

Eggs with the blood is also good are more common than bad eggs.
I found a few red eggs, you can eat the vessel but I scraped it out both times, just cause it was strange, but eggs are just that.

Eggs go bad when they get moisture.
The shell has pores which intake all, so do not wash eggs, not sure why you would, but figure pople may.
Eggs are graded, and if they are graded, they all should be good.

Never had a bad egg, but two with the vessel, and I've cracked more than most should ever.
You are good, and when it comes to the expiration date, it's like yogurt, it may cause a digestive problem, but you shouldn't get sick.

Place the egg into a bowl of cold water. The water level should be about 2 times higher than the egg.
- Fresh eggs will sink to the bottom of the bowl and probably lie on their sides.
- Slightly older eggs (about one week) will lie on the bottom but bob slightly.
- If the egg balances on its smallest tip, with the large tip reaching for the top, it's probably close to three weeks old.
- Eggs that float at the surface are bad and should not be consumed.
