Question: Instructions(easy) for how to melt milk chocolate, add your own ingredients-cherries/nuts etc., and cool it..?
so it goes back to being a chocolate bar. I mean, if for example-you started with two cadbury milk chocolate bars, wanted to melt it and add more ingriedients-then cool it dry-So it can be eaten as new????? Thank you so much. Please tell me how to do this-almost in a recipe form. Also-if you have any good reccomendations for which type of milk chocolate to use, please tell me. Thank you.

Answers:

Chocolate bars are not meant to be melted like that, they have already been tempered, so I don't know how this would work out.

But, with bakers chocolate and chocolate chips:
You have to put it in a double boiler. If you don't have one, you can put a metal bowl on a stove pot filled with water.
Put the chocolate in the metal bowl, and when the water in the stove pot boils, the chocolate will melt.
You can add the other ingredients in now, and fold the chocolate over them.
Then pour it onto a baking sheet or, preferably, a silicon baking sheet, and let it cool.

Good luck.

Vegan, but used to work at a chocolatiers :)

1. Put the chocolate in a soup pan on the stove turn on stove & stir it 2. Add the extra things but first chop them into tiny pieces 3. Stir the chocolate then when all of it is melted you put it back into the chocolate bar form on top of wax paper, a plate under the wax paper. with a rectangle cookie cutter you make the chocolate form. You put the cookie cutter first then and chocolate. When you r done you let it Cool for a bit. Then put it in the refrigerator. Later check on it to take the cookie cutter out and make sure the chocolate will not fall apart if it does leave it longer

Ditto to the above but you can use a baking pan lined with waxed paper when you pour out the chocolate. place it in a cool place to harden or put in the fridge for just a few minutes and it will remove easily from the waxed paper when completely cooled. A type of chocolate chip you can use is Hersheys, Nestles, or any type of chocolate morsals. While melting chocolate keep stirring until smooth and it is ready for any type of candy addition.
Also choc. maker.
