Some stores make polenta and sell it in the deli section of the supermarket. Some stores will let you special order for pick up at a later time too. It really depends on the store and their level of service.

Most supermarkets sell prepared polenta in tubes. Some carry flavors, like garlic. It is pretty good if you pan fry it in some olive oil If you're looking for soft polenta, premade polenta won't work. I find the instant polenta to be pretty good. I usually use unsalted chicken broth to make it, then add a bit of butter and grated cheese.

Most of my local grocery stores sell prepared polenta in the pasta aisle. Some of it comes in tubes (like the size of breakfast sausage tube) and some of it comes in tins. I cannot speak to the quality of the products because I have never tried it.

Yes they do, like has been said before, look in the dairy aisle where it will be in a tube, like sausage and is called "Cornmeal Mush"
