What is the correct way to cook bean sprouts?!

Question: What is the correct way to cook bean sprouts?
I love them in stir fry but when I try to cook them at home they either turn out mushy or I don't cook them enough. I've tried to steamed them and then added them to the other veggies. I've also just added them raw to the rest of the veggies. What am I doing wrong?

Answers:

All the recipes I have looked up for when I wanted to use the bean sprouts, says to cook for a couple of minutes in a stir fry. They will soften up a bit. If you don't like them soft just add after you have cooked whatever you are making. They are also really good in a salad or sandwich in place of the lettuce. You are not doing anything wrong, they are just a delicate vegetable. You should enjoy them however you prepare them.

Siamvelv, I don't, I add them to an asian soup, or the last thing before I plate a stir fry, couple of examples.

I rarely cook them. I add them to the finished dish after cooking. Pad Thai for example, I would make the entire dish and top with fresh bean sprouts at serving time
