Does it sound good to have green olives in twice baked potatoes?!

Question: Does it sound good to have green olives in twice baked potatoes?
I normally use them with my potato salad which is the bomb and everyone is always wanting me to make it, but to bake them with cheese sour cream butter in baked potato. I think it sounds good but that's because I love green olives. What do you think?? ;}

Answers:

I wouldn't care for them as the brininess would clash with the sour cream and cheese, but it's your dinner. Eat what you like! Now that I've given you the knee-jerk reaction, I'm kind of thinking of a version based on the martini olives stuffed with blue cheese I love for cocktail snacks. How about using those, minced, with butter and greek yogurt and chives? No bacon, no cheddar.

If you put the olives into the sour cream and add it after the potato is twice baked. Just be careful of the seasonings as the olives add saltiness to the potatoes. I like to add real bacon bits and salsa cheese dip to my baked potatoes. I think that anything you put onto a baked potato will be delicious. Enjoy it your way.

You can put green olives on a baked potato, but I would taste it before you add salt to the final product since green olives are salty already. It does by the way sound absolutly delicious.

I like olives but the sound of it sounds awful. I like olives out the jar. Definitely not cooked.

olive e olivs

Sounds kind of Mediterranean.

Does not sound very appetizing.....................

It would be something I would like to try as I don't normally like them.

I just don't like hot green olives but that's just me.

Sounds disgusting to me!

I think it will be delicious. Thank you for a nice dinner idea!

Sounds great - how about throwing in some sun dried tomatos too .. .. .. ?

Personally, it doesn't appeal to me, and I too like green olives. To each his own.
