When one marinates meat for three hours, does it really have any effect on the flavour?!

Question: When one marinates meat for three hours, does it really have any effect on the flavour?
There are supermarket products which offer a marination in minutes.

Answers:

forget about in minutes thats just saucy meat
a true marinade is done over night
and yes it does change the flavour as the meat will soak it all up then when cooked itll be very juicey and tender good if you dont like your meat tuff

It depends on the kind of meat it is. For Chicken it makes a huge difference if you marinade it for
3 hours. Same result with pork. With Steak however you can marinade it for an hour or less and get the same flavor. Its all about the technique. The key for steaks is to sear it in a hot pan or better a iron skillet for two minutes on each side then put it on the grill or even at a lower temp. (250 degrees).

Yes, it really soaks up the flavor kind of like a sponge, and gets tender and delicious.

yes
