would chicken fillets defrost?!

Question: Would chicken fillets defrost?
hi i forgot to take the chicken fillets out of the freezer last night i am having dinner in 9 hours if i took them out now would they be defrosted by the time u want to use them

thanks

Answers:

you can do a couple things (if they are bagged) place them in warm water. Or place them on a burner (off), b/c the pilot light will defrost them very slowly but it should be ok if it's 9 hours from now.

How about using the defrost mode in your microwave oven?

But if you do not own a microwave oven then, try soaking the fillets in lukewarm water, it should help to defrost a bit faster, but how long it takes depends on much fillets you have to thaw. I think they should be Ok by about 2 hours. You can also try changing the water every now and then if you have then time, to speed up the process.

Hell yeah! You could always take em out the freezer an hour b4 cooking, and defrost em in the microwave!

Works 4 me!
