Is this a sweet crust or a savory crust?

If sweet, you could use it to make any kind of cream or meringue pie. I've been dying to make this Cookie Dough Cream Pie - you could use your shortcrust instead of the cookie crust that the recipe calls for:

If savory, quiche is good choice and you can customize it with whatever vegetables, meats, and cheeses you like. I like Paula Deen's version, with bacon and spinch:

Chicken Pot Pie

INGREDIENTS 1 10oz can chicken, drained
Pie Crust (short crust pastry)
2-3 tbsp butter
1/2 cup each diced peeled potatoes and chopped onions
1/4 cup sliced celery
1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots
1 10 3/4oz can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/8 tsp ground pepper
1/4 tsp each ground sage and rosemary, crushed
DIRECTIONS
1Melt butter in sauce pan. Add all vegetables and saute 5 minutes.
2Combine soup, herbs, spices, and chicken and stir into vegetable mixture.
3Separate pie crusts, fill first pie crust with mixture and cover with second pie crust. Press pie crust edges together with fork.
4Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then reduce heat to 350 degrees for an additional 40 minutes.

A nice easy one is to get either a tin of minced beef and onion or a tin of pie filling from the supermarket.
Roll out the pastry, line a dish or plate pour in the filling, roll out the top, making little cuts to let the air out. put in the middle shelf of a hot (170+)oven for around 20 min.
Cook the meat or fruit first if you don't use tinned.
If you don't have enough pastry for the top make an open tart and use any left over to cut into strips to decorate the top.

A bakewell tart.

A tart.
