Buttermilk in a pound cake - How would that taste?!

Question: Buttermilk in a pound cake - How would that taste?
It says it's a tangy , which in my opinion does not sound appetizing in a cake
do you think it will be good?

Answers:

That actually sounds really good.

I have no idea why they think it is tangy!! I think it is perfect!! Bet yoou cannot even tell whether you used buttermilk and baking soda rather than milk and baking powder!!

If it doesn't have a couple of teaspoons of cardamom in it, do add that as it makes the pound cake much better!

It sounds really good to me. If you like, you could raise the cake with baking soda instead of baking powder; the buttermilk is acidic enough to make baking soda work. BTW I've heard of people using sour cream in cakes, so buttermilk makes sense.

Delicious. You should try to source a recipe for a lemon buttermilk pound cake.

buttermilk is good in pretty much All baked goods.

Yes I do.
