why are jams in sealed jars with the button and not honey or marmite?!

Question: Why are jams in sealed jars with the button and not honey or marmite?
Answers:

Honey naturally does not spoil (remarkable stuff!) and Marmite is loaded with salt, a natural preservative.

Jam is vulnerable to spoiling. The little button will give you warning about that, just in case.

when jam is sealed its sealed without air as the jam will go mouldy after a while, when you first open the jar it should go pop which will tell you its never been open. if it dont go pop take it back.
honey and marmite have the natural ingredients to protect against going mouldy and will last alot longer than jam once opened.
on the jam jars it will say consume within a month or so once opened however not on honey and marmite.

Because jam will go mouldy if opened and exposed to the air, whereas honey and Marmite do not.

Because jam will develop mould whereas honey & marmite won't.

couldnt tell ya
