Is the corned beef you buy at the store already in a brine?!
I bought a corned beef brisket in a bag, you know, it has that bloody looking juice in it. Well, I was reading I need to soak the brisket in a brine, but isn't that stuff in the bag already a brine. I'd hate to go through all that work for nothing. If I do need to still brine it, how long lol! I'm having a hard time trying to find the hours to brine a coned beef online. I got two questions in one ;]

Making corned beef means that beef brisket has been brined in a salt solution with pickling spices. When you take it out of the package, rinse it off, then place it in your pot (or roasting pan) with water and boil for several hours. You shouldn't need to add anything.
Usually the corned beef is brined and packed with liquid that is not necessarily a brine.
It seems your corn beef may still have some brining to do to ensure a good flavor and texture
