healthy alternative for sandwhiches?!

Question: Healthy alternative for sandwhiches?
i suck at cooking so keep that in mind please.
I need the type of bread, meat, veggies, condiments etc
Thank you

Answers:

Breads with visible grains in them are healthier than more processed breads
Mustard is better than mayo (calorie and fat-wise)
Use a small amount of meat (like lean chicken or turkey parts)
Use lots of veggies like:
- Romaine (iceberg or head lettuce is very low vitamins)
- Alfalfa sprouts
- thin sliced tomatoes
- thin sliced cucumbers
- thin sliced radishes
- low-fat shredded cheese (optl)

For a little added flavor, lightly sprinkle with some rice wine vinegar

Hope that helps.

If you're looking for a healthy bread, go with with a 9 or 12 grain, with low sugars. If you are willing to skip bread, then you can use either a low carb tortilla or large piece of romaine, iceberg or cabbage to wrap it up. We have also substituted a couple thick slices of jicama for bread. For the toppings, select healthy/hearty toppings such as Lite havarti cheese, arugula, avocado, honey mustard and turkey. You can also smear on some fat free or low fat veggie cream cheese in place of the cheese. Skip the mayo unless you go with a veganaise, and drizzle with a little balsamic.

skip the bread, take lettuce leaf, spread some mayo on it, lay the lunch meat and cheese on it and roll up. stick in toothpick.

My son and I think our "sandwiches" are better than those using bread.

Salad is pretty easy to make...its pretty much just a bunch of cut up stuff mixed into a bowl with lettuce.

Maybe some maple leaf chicken from the store mixed in too?

Pick up a package of Pita Bread and try some of these fillings:
