Could I subsitute boiling water for boiling mango juice in a jello recipe?!

Question: Could I subsitute boiling water for boiling mango juice in a jello recipe?
I'm making jello shots in an orange. I love mangoes and i wanted to make some nice tasting jello shots in the cute form of an orange. Here's what I want to do:
1 package of orange Jello
16 ounces (500 ml) of boiling mango nectar
10 ounces (300 ml) of ice cold Mango absolute vodka
6 ounces (180 ml) of cold water (again could I use cold mango Nectar)

Answers:

That would probably work just fine except that the Jello already has sugar in it. The added sugar from the juice may make it over-sweet.
You could try it anyway, or use unflavored gelatin. (If you really want the orange flavor, use the stuff you already have and don't try to substitute orange juice. Acid stops gelatin from firming up.)

Mango is very acidic and may keep the jello from setting up. Do a test batch first without the vodka to see if it works.
