What topping for regular brownies..?!

I would serve them warm from the oven topped with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, a drizzle of fudge or caramel sauce & sprinkle with pecans or walnuts. Happy Birthday Mom!!!

I wouldn't ice brownies, but that's me. For a birthday, I would serve them (maybe warm, if you can) with ice cream or lightly sweetened whipped cream. And maybe a hot chocolate sauce (you can buy it already made) to drizzle over it all. The other commentor who said to put a walnut on each square has a great idea, but I guess that depends on your mother liking walnuts... I'm assuming she likes chocolate and ice cream! Today is my grandmother's birthday, btw. Happy Birthday to your mom.

It is very sweet of you to think about your mom's bday. I'm sure she will love what ever you give her. One of my favourite things is malted milk balls. a small bag of Whoppers crushed and spread over the brownies is really nice. and inexpensive. For a minty touch a smal box of junior mints is nice. melt on a low setting in the micro wave and spread them over top. I hope you have a wonderful time.

When they're cooled off, whipped cream and shave some chocolate over them (just scrape chocolate with the edge of a knife blade).

Put a nice double chocolate icing on top and then add a walnut to the top of each brownie! Yummmm... :)

Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream!!!
