ok the trick is this.. if the recipe says 10 - 12 minutes then you put the cookies in for 11 minutes. once the oven rings take them OUT of the oven and let them sit on the counter for about 7 minutes. they might still look doughy but dont worry about that. do not touch them. then once they're solid enough you can scoop them off the pan with a spatula. but dont stack them until completely cooled (if you want to save them for later) or they will stick together. they will always be soft.

this works with almost any recipe, cookie dough, or cookie mix.

After baking your cookies and they have cooled completely, put them in a container, and also put a slice of fresh bread into the same container, with the cooled cookies. (you can tear the bread slice into pieces first, and then put in cookie container. Put the lid on the container, (such as a plastic container with a snap on lid). Leave it overnight. This should soften your cookies.

instead of baking them for how long the box says, take it about 2 minutes before its done and let it cool off on the counter.

Don't bake them as long as the recipe recommends. Cut it down at least 2 minutes.

You can't leave them there long
if it says 15 mins. leave them there for 10 minutes
and take them out

The thicker they are the softer they will be.
