what can I cook with split chicken breasts with ribs?!

Question: What can I cook with split chicken breasts with ribs?
My fiance accidentally got the split breasts with ribs instead of regular breasts. We were going to grill them but now we don't know what to do and don't want to waist them.

Answers:

You can boil them with the bones in and then remove the meat from the bones and use them in things such as chicken and dumplings or anything with plain chicken meat. I like to do that and then season them and put in tacos and things. You can also trim the meat from the rib and just grill like normal.

Do the breasts have skins on them? I tend to use these type of breasts for baked chicken. Personally I like to make a spice, cheese, and sun dried tomatoes mixture and stuff it under the skin before baking, but you could stuff them with anything you like if the skin is still on the chicken. You could also grill or fry them. If you wanted to you could remove the bones and skin from the breasts. There is a tutorial located at

You have to be careful grilling whole chix breasts - since they are uneven in size.
I make Chicken and Rice:

3-5 split chicken breasts (with bones and skin)
1 large onion, chopped*
1/4 C soy sauce
1 can chicken broth
2 pkgs Geo Washington Seasoning and Broth (often in the vegetarian section or in soups/boullion)
paprika

cooked rice
salad

put chicken in oven safe pot, cover with onions. Add soy sauce, broth and seasoning. Top with paprika for color.
Oven @ 350
Cook for 1 1/2 hours.

Remove chicken to plate, strain juices if desired (*I leave the onions in, so I chop fairly fine). Thicken with 2-3 TBSP flour shaken in a jar with 1/2 C water. Bring juices to boil on stovetop. Serve over white rice or noodles.
