What should I make as a side for chicken pot pie, besides salad?!

Question: What should I make as a side for chicken pot pie, besides salad?
Making chicken pot pie, which I've never made before. I'm a picky eater, and my dad's diabetic and it's just us, so what should I make to go with it?

Answers:

fruit

If your pot pie is homemade, then load up on the veges and chicken. Since your dad's diabetic, you might want to consult with an on-line diabetic cookbook and see what they suggest. I know that he has to watch his carbs. I'd stick with a spinach salad with crumbled bacon, egg, and a low-sugar/fat dressing.

A healthy side could be sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, rice. Potato pancake 9
Chef's salad, Caesar salad., steamed Cabbage , broccoli, cauliflower.

>>> Steamed broccoli, Green beans...asparagus.....Tomato salad is nice also...

Personally, I never find enough veggies in this dish so I would add more. How about oven baked carrots or parsnips?
