You're taking 2 finished dishes and combining them. You could add *elements* of alfredo (e.g., the butter) maybe but I doubt that it would enhance the overall dish.
I think what you're really looking for is a better chicken and dumpling recipe... one that is more hearty. So here you go -- these are superb and easy to prepare (not my recipe -- I wish I had developed this one.):

Yes you can.....but the way I make chicken and dumplings I have gravy to drizzle over the dish...I love Alfredo sauce..but I am not sure if it would be good with this recipe...So if you try it...let us know how it turned out................
