Are pork chops baked in an oven for a couple of hours good?!

Question: Are pork chops baked in an oven for a couple of hours good?
I was going to grill them out but it got too cold. Can I bake them in beer, seasonings, and maybe some sugar for a couple of hours?

Answers:

my family's favorite baked pork chop recipe:

sear the chops well on both sides

take wide baking dish, put a nice layer of rice all across the bottom, add a can of chopped tomatoes, and spread, add the seared chops in a single layer across the rice and tomatoes, and top with some sliced onions. fill the dish with chicken broth/stock to just over the chops, and bake at 350 for few hours, for the rice to absorb the broth, and the chops to finish cooking.

If you bake them for a couple of hours they will be really dried out and tough. I would sear them in a cast iron skillet then add your beer or whatever liquid, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or put the skillet in the oven for about the same amount of time at 400F.

Brown in skillet. Put in crockpot with 1/2 cup flour and 1 Tbsp. mustard. Add 1 can chicken broth. Crock for 3 to 5 hours. Stir gravy & serve over chops.

Get a recipe. That is too long. Bake until internal temp is 165 deg F

I think they would be hockey pucks. Cut that time in half.

no 4 hours better more tender ?
