Why is boneless chicken more expensive?!

Question: Why is boneless chicken more expensive?
It seems like they would be easier to catch then their boned cousins so it should be cheaper

Answers:

Boneless chickens can't walk so they have to hire people to carry them around. That's why boneless chicken is more expensive.

Chicken is sold by weight. A bone in chicken breast will have virtually the same amount of edible meat as when it is de-boned. But it will weigh less without the bone. Therefore it makes sense that chicken without bone cost more per pound than bone in chicken because you are getting more edible chicken for your money. Boneless chicken also costs more because of the labor costs involved in removing the bone from the chicken..

Your paying for the labor costs to have someone remove the bones.

The processing of the bird raises the cost.

they have to pay someone to take out the bones
