Best way to prepare canned black beans?!
Answers:
I like refried black beans. Drain (and reserve the liquid) and rinse the beans, then add to a skillet with 1 tsp each oil and butter (or bacon grease, if you like that bacon flavor). Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder- just a few dashes of each. Mash and add bean juice to thin to desired consistency. I always add a can of either green chiles or Ro*tel tomatoes, but you can add salsa or just stick to the basic.
Sometimes I heat up 2 tbsp butter, a little grated onion and bell pepper, 1 clove of minced garlic, salt and pepper, then stir in the drained, rinsed beans and cook until they're warm.
You could also make quick barracho beans. Add the rinsed, drained beans to a small pot, cover with chicen broth, then add 1 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/4 tsp cumin, and some hot sauce. Or just add a package of taco seasoning to the chicken broth intead. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes over medium-low, then remove the lid and simmer off most of the liquid (leave 1/2" of juice in the pan or they'll dry out).
You can add the drained, rinsed beans to burritos, quesadillas, pasta salad, chili, soup, etc.
Drain & rinse the beans if desired.
Add tomato sauce, chopped onions, diced peppers.
For an Italian taste use oregano & basil, cilantro if you have it.
For a Mexican taste use cumin & red pepper flakes or chili powder.

Put some white rice in it maybe a 1/4 cup and let it boil.
