What's the difference between Kosher salt and sea salt?!

Question: What's the difference between Kosher salt and sea salt?
This salad dressing recipe is asking for kosher salt. I have sea salt. Would it make a big difference to substitute?

Answers:

First of all . all salt is sea salt
Second of all because Kosher salt has less mass per volume than sea salt does If you're using sea salt to replace Kosher salt only use 1/2 the amount

Sea salt, by definition, should come from seawater. Kosher salt is mined, just like ordinary table salt.
